What actually blocks a North Georgia drain
Every clogged drain in this part of Georgia comes down to one of four things: grease, paper, sludge or root hair, and usually some combination of two. Grease is the kitchen sink problem. It goes down warm and liquid, cools against the inside of the pipe, and builds up a coating that narrows with every wash cycle, until the drain that used to clear in ten seconds is standing water in thirty.
Paper and sludge are the bathroom version of the same problem, buildup and fine particulate that never fully rinses away. Root hair is the outdoor version, a lateral running near a tree line where roots have found a joint and worked their way in over years, not weeks. Each one clears differently, which is the whole reason the truck carries more than one tool.

Snake or hydro jet, and how we pick between them
A snake is a mechanical cable that punches through a blockage and pulls it back or breaks it apart. It is fast, it is the right call for a solid obstruction, and it has been the standard tool in this trade for as long as there has been a trade. Hydro jetting does something different: high pressure water that scours the full inside diameter of the pipe wall, rather than just punching a hole through the middle of the clog.
Grease and fine sludge need the jetter, because a snake through a greased line just opens a channel down the middle and leaves the walls coated, ready to close back up in a few months. Camera first, so you pay for the right fix and not a guess
A drain that clears today and backs up again in six weeks usually means the first visit treated the symptom and never looked at the cause. Running a camera down the line, after clearing it or before, on a repeat call, tells us whether this was ordinary grease buildup or the first sign of a root intrusion or a bellied section that keeps trapping debris no matter how many times it gets snaked.
That is the difference between paying to clear a drain and paying to fix a drain. We would rather show you the camera footage and let you see the root hair or the sag in the line yourself than tell you it might come back and leave it there.
